December 2014

The first month of winter has arrived here at Geo-Marine Technology’s “World Headquarters” in Montana. Here’s a list of other recent “arrivals” in GMT’s records:

  • Mr. Dodd, Mr. Lavering and Mr. Ingold are still assisting Whitefish, Montana-based Hydrospheric Solutions, LLC, (lead by chief engineer Jay Larsen using the cutting edge technology in low frequency sonar imaging, the SLH-ProSAS-60 (www.slhydrospheric.com)) as they search for the missing MH370 aircraft in the depths of the Indian Ocean. Local news media has been recognizing Hydrospheric Solutions’ contribution to the search, with articles in both the Flathead Beacon and the Missoulian newspapers. We’re proud to be a part of the Hydrospheric Solutions team on this one!
  • Mr. John Rietman (with some help from his staff here at GMT) has completed the site hazard analysis for the proposed BT-6 well in the Cook Inlet, Alaska. Many thanks to the Watson Company for including us on this one!
  •  Mr. Beau Pallister is offshore Florida working on a Fiber Optic Cable Route Survey with GMT’s old friend Peter. Good luck, Gentlemen!
  • Mr. Matt Zunker has spearheaded the WGCT report to completion and submitted the final draft to all parties involved. He’s now adressing review comments on the draft final of the GBOOC Desktop Study.
  • GMT collectively completed our contribution to a survey offshore Chile. Big thanks to Williamson and Associates for including us on this one!
  • If you need help on an underwater geophysical project or repairing, processing or analyzing your marine acoustic data, ping us and see what we can do for ya!
