  • Southern Indian Ocean – Steve Dodd, Spencer Paddock, Joshua Phillips, Beau Pallister, and Kurt Ingold have all spent extended time aboard the Chinese vessel Dong Hai Jiu 101 this year, assisting in efforts to locate the missing Maylasian Airlines Flight 370 that disappeared in May of 2014.
  • Spain and Algeria – GMT owners John Rietman and Beau Pallister were deployed to the western Mediterranean this spring as geologists/geophysicists for a cable route survey between Spain and Algeria.
  • Trinidad – Eric Lavering acted as onboard geologist, providing QA/QC of data and field reporting for a geophysical pipeline route survey in the Gulf of Paria in May.
  • Western United States – Joshua Phillips and Eric Lavering spent several weeks flying around the Wyoming, Oregon, and Utah, collecting topographic data during several aerial LIDAR surveys commissioned by the US government.
  • New York – GMT geologist Joshua Phillips is currently on assignment in New York, acquiring shallow seismic data and utilizing GMT’s SonarWiz Acquisition Dongle (Available for lease!).
